Experience the thrill of a 7-day/6 night mobile walking
safari in untamed Africa, 7th night at Mfuwe Lodge. Mobile
safaris have long been an exciting way to re live the
past, a way to follow in the footsteps of the great
explorers, a chance to walk as primitive man did, among
the untouched earth, in amongst the last of the great
bastions of wildlife. This offers adventurers one of the
largest surviving venues to relive the past solitude and
grace of unchanged Africa and a chance to view and
experience the bush in its most untouched and virginal
forms. We take the concept one step further, offering
adventurers the thrill of walking safari, combined with
the remote luxury of three small exclusive bush camps.
As your steps carry you through the wilderness during a
7-day/6 night mobile you will spend evenings relaxing
in style. High standards and personal attention to detail
make each camp an individual luxury for the traveler.
The combination of the adventure of walking, coupled
with the opportunity to spoil yourself with hot refreshing
showers and exceptional hospitality at each camp makes
this the ultimate safari experience.

Nights 01 & 02:
|
Spend the first 2 nights of your Luangwa Encounter, at
Chamilandu exploring the ebony groves and ox bow lagoons.
Chamilandu Bush camp offers the connoisseur comfort class
and beauty in one of the Luangwa’s prime river venues. Open
to a 180° vista, the front of each tree house chalet
provides the exciting frame for all of Luangwa Valleys
diversity. Subtle décor adorns the 2m high tree houses.
The tasteful blend of wrought iron and brass offsets the
cream and pastels that welcome you to rest and relax. A
series of seven ox-bow lagoons yield dramatic habitat
changes and attract an abundance of wildlife.
|
Nights 03 & 04:
|
After an early breakfast at Chamilandu, set off on your
trail to Chindeni, arriving in time for a hearty brunch.
Spend 2 nights at Chindeni viewing the game from your own
private raised wooden decking over the still waters of
the lagoon and exploring the evergreen forests on foot.
Surrounded by majestic hills, shaded by ancient ebonies
and nestled on the apex of an ox-bow lagoon, Chindeni
helps weave the spell that is Africa.
Chindeni will stand proud in your memory as a place of
magic.

Nights 05 & 06:
|
Walking south once more, towards the confluence of the
Kapamba and Luangwa rivers, Bilimungwe bush camp holds
the distinction of being the southernmost camp in the
National park. It offers not only the solitude you have
come to enjoy, but also the ideal opportunity to discover
yet another face of the Luangwa Valley, exploring on foot
or in a vehicle. Bilimungwe’s permanent water hole is a
popular venue for wildlife and the shallow clear Kapamba
River offers the perfect setting to cool down, relax and
reflect on the Luangwa encounter that you have just
experienced. Crossing the Luangwa River on the rustic
pontoon sees you wave a sad farewell to the remote
sanctity you have discovered and open a page on the
final chapter of your African adventure.
