These rodents are responsible for the destruction of thousands of acres of prime grazing land. We hunt private land that has not been overshot like you will find in other parts of the country. Enjoy country hospitality and challenging shooting. Light rifles from .204 through 243 are best. Shooting out to 500 yards is not uncommon! 500-1000 shots per day are common. This hunt makes for a great off season activity. We have over 30 dog towns on our ranch of 141,000 plus acres. We shoot these very lightly throughout the year. We just can not stress the difference shooting private land makes! Shooting a dog town that has had little previous pressure is absolute magic. Unlike public lands were most dogs within 250 yards of the gun remain in their holes once the shooting starts, lightly pressured dogs will pop up all around the shooter offering non-stop action. You will have your own private shooting areas and not have to worry about others bothering you. You can drive right to most of the towns and set up in the field for a full days action. This ranch is also home to over 6,000 bison as well as mule deer and antelope. You just can not beat a prairie dog hunt for a true taste of the American West!
